loudspeakers are designed and hand built at the Spendor factory in Hailsham,
Sussex in the UK. Traditional craftmanship, skilled design capability and modern
engineering materials all combine to produce superbly built loudspeakers with
models to suit any taste or application.Originally founded in the 1960's by
Spencer and Dorothy Hughes, Spendor grew out of the expertise gained in the
BBC's sound engineering department. The original BC1 design became the studio
monitor of choice and soon this and other designs were to be developed for the

For
over two decades Spendor was licensed to manufacture the legendary LS3/5a BBC
mini-monitor loudspeaker. It became an international reference standard. In 1998
when Spendor learned that manufacture of the LS3/5a drive units was to cease, we
decided to develop our own 140mm (5inch) bass-midrange drive unit using modern
materials and technology. Combining this with a small 20mm soft dome tweeter,

Compact

size normally have difficulty in delivering a consistent sound across the

The
Spendor SR5.2 is designed for on-wall installation. The slim cabinet integrates
with a specially developed Spendor 140mm bass-midrange drive unit that results
in an optimally flat and correctly damped frequency response. The response is
also exceptionally smooth off-axis, very important for surround sound
applications especially when not at ear height. The SR5.2 creates a wide deep
sound field that allows great flexibility when planning the layout of rooms and
seating. Each SR5 is supplied with an adjustable stainless steel bracket. The
Spendor SR5 is ideal for 2, 5 or 7 channel loudspeaker systems and a diversity
of high performance multi-room and multimedia applications. It is the perfect
surround loudspeaker for combination with all Spendor loudspeakers, or ideal as
